அரிஸ்டோலோக்கிக் அமிலம்
அரிஸ்டோலோக்கிக் அமிலம் (Aristolochic acid) மரபணு திடீர் மாற்றத்தைத் தூண்டி புற்று நோயை உண்டாக்கக் கூடியதும் சிறுநீரக நச்சுப் பொருளுமான ஒரு வேதிப்பொருள் ஆகும். இது சீன மருத்துவத்தில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் அரிஸ்டோலேசியே[1] வகை மூலிகைத் தாவரங்களில் காணப்படுகிறது.[2]
பால்கன் சிறுநீரகநோய்க்கும் இந்த அமிலமே காரணம் என்று கருதப்படுகிறது..[3][4]
அரிஸ்டோலோக்கிக் அமிலம் நீரில் ஓரளவு கரையக் கூடியது; கசப்புச் சுவையுடையது;[5] அதிக உருகுநிலை (281 முதல் 286 டிகரி செல்சியசு) உடையது.[6]
சிறிதளவு அரிஸ்டோலோக்கிக் அமிலம் கூட நமது உடலில் உள்ள நோய் எதிர்ப்பு செல்களைத் தூண்டக் கூடியது. மற்ற பாக்டீரியக் கொல்லி மருந்துகளைப் போலன்றி இது நோய் எதிர்ப்பு சக்தியைத் தூண்டுவதாய் உள்ளது.
